“The Future We Want” After Rio+20 New Partnerships toward Green Economy and Society

This symposium is being held against the backdrop of the recent United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 20-22 June 2012. In order to achieve sustainable development for the future, building effective partnerships between multi-stakeholders is one of the most important tasks.

This symposium will provide a forum to consider what forms of partnerships are necessary to tackle the issues of and challenges to comprehensive growth of the green economy and a society that promotes community development and poverty eradication. Experts from government, international think tanks, academia, NGOs and business will address the symposium, share their insights and enrich the debate on innovative partnerships to create more sustainable societies.
