Kobe City Partnership Accord

Overview

A partnership accord which was established based upon “Regulations Concerning the Promotion of District Activities by Kobe Citizens”.  Kobe City, together with districts within the city, aims to deepen mutual relationships through cooperative work on reaching solutions to issues affecting the districts; another objective is to promote city-planning via ‘co-action’ (cooperative action) and participatory planning.
Implementation is currently taking place in the 5 ‘model’ administrative districts below:
 ・ Northern Noda: Northern Noda Furusato (native place) Network;
 ・ Kita-suma: Kita-suma Housing Complex Community Association;
 ・ Ninomiya: Ninomiya Fureai (Interaction)  City-planning Council;
 ・ Ozo: the Ozocho Self-Governing Association and the Ozocho Compact Town Study Group; and,
 ・ Kande: the Kande Fureai (Interaction)  City-planning Council.

The 5th Kobe City Master Plan (2015 Vision) details a goal to increase the number of districts to 9 by the fiscal year 2013. Subsequently, the plan is to consider verification and systemization.
