To celebrate World Food Day and raise awareness of Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns), UNU-IAS and the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC) will host a movie night featuring “Wastecooking“, a 2015 German documentary.

After the film, Mbuli Charles Boliko, Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Liaison Office in Japan, and leaders in food security in Japan will discuss the current status and challenges in the sustainability of food systems. Guests are encouraged to engage with the speakers during the discussion session.
