アジア国立公園会議の開催を2週間後にひかえた10月31日、地球環境パートナーシッププラザの呼びかけにより、「アジア国立公園会議」パートナーシップ・ダイアログを開催しました。

自然保護NGOの日本自然保護協会、WWFジャパン、コンサベーション・インターナショナル、生物多様性わかものネットワークなどの参加者が、環境省国立公園課の鳥居課長を交え、アジア国立公園会議を実りあるものにするための対話を行いました。

「保護地域が地域の誇りを育み、若者が地方で暮らし働けるような対策を議論して欲しい」、「会議終了後も、NGOとの対話を継続して欲しい」などの意見がありました。

With only two weeks left until the opening of the 1st Asia Parks Congress, the Asia Parks Congress Partnership Dialogue was held on 31 October 2013, in responding to a call by the Global Environmental Outreach Centre “GEOC”.

Participants from Nature Conservation NGOs, such as Nature Conservation Society of Japan, WWF Japan, Conservation International, and Biodiversity Youth Network, together with Mr. Torii, Director of National Park Division under Ministry of the Environment, had a dialogue with each other in order to make APC a fruitful congress.

There were comments such as “APC should discuss measures for making protected areas instill a pride in the region, where young people can live and work”, and “Dialogues with NGOs should be continued even after APC.”
